To: Fidel Castro & Raul Castro, President, and People of Cuba
Greetings,
My name is Frank Wezyk. I was born and raised in Miami, Florida all my life. I am 70 years old and in good health. I want to offer my services to your country in a non-political and non-religious manner. I am a certified journeyman iron worker with skills in welding; steel rod; and finishing. I also have experience in the agricultural field that I can contribute.
I can teach electrical; plumbing; carpentry; tiling; plastering; and all structural aspects in construction. For 25 years, I owned and ran Miami Safe and Vault Movers, Inc. My work took me to many foreign countries. As a result of my many years of work with safes and vaults, I can also teach how to repair and refurbish old safes and bank vaults. In addition, I was a Florida State realtor for 25 years which also included many home remodels.
I was a very successful remodeling contractor in Miami Beach, Florida. In 2000, I bought an old fishing camp on Lake Pierce, remodeled it and built a 25 Acre Eco Park and Drug & Alcohol Rehabilitation Center for homeless veterans and other homeless people. The Rehabilitation Center was built and remodeled, under my direction, by the veterans themselves.
I have a 1968 Corvette that I have had for 45 years. I customized it from 1970 to 1980. I used the car to promote various tourism and entertainment activities. You can view this on my webpage: www.doobee.biz. I can help start and organize car clubs, rallies and art shows with my 55 years of tourism experience. I also have a handicapped and rescued squirrel, from Florida, named Doobee, who was with me for 3 years in Panama, bringing laughter and joy to many. Please feel free to visit the web site: www.doobee.biz.
I have an idea to build a trade school & Eco Park in your country that would offer a 3 to 4 year apprenticeship program in all the above mentioned skills. I would like to teach my many skills to your citizens to expand their marketable trade skills. My 40 foot container is full of all the tools and equipment necessary for this trade school and Eco Park, which I would donate to this project, at no cost to you or the volunteer teachers involved. I can also expand this school to teach more than just trade skills. My proposed idea could be called, “Cuba Teachers Without Borders.”
In conclusion, I desire to schedule an appointment with you or your representative to discuss the ideas and plans presented in this letter. Contact me by calling USA #: 772-281-9785. I need people who can speak English and Spanish as I do not speak fluent Spanish at this time. I look forward to speaking with you or your representative.
With Great Respect,

Frank Wezyk, Ex-Patriot

P.S. To all interested and future teachers,
If you have a marketable skill, like to teach or would like to be involved with “Cuba Teachers Without Borders,” please send your cover letter and resume to the e-mail address(es) of your choice from this website.
